Welcome to the 24th year of the Early Bird Sports Expo! The show is at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds on January 26-29, 2012. The doors open Thursday, Jan 26th at 4pm. The hours of the show are: Thursday, 4pm-9pm, Friday 10am-9pm, Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. We are looking forward to another great year.
We are excited to announce that we are bringing back the 3D archery shoot this year! The staff from Sutton’s Archery is assisting us in the setup and execution of the 3D shoot. We are now collecting registration forms for the shoot. Please visit our website for more info. Sunday morning at 11am-12pm will be an opportunity for kids 12 and under to take a turn at shooting at the 3D targets.  Also, we would like to thank Cabela’s for providing us with all of the 3D targets for the shoot.  There will be an auction of the 3D targets on Sunday afternoon at 4 pm with the proceeds benefitting local charitable organizations.
We have a variety of seminar speakers this year. The Col-Mont Gobblers will kick off our seminars on Thursday evening. Friday, Russ Wagner will start the day with his seminar for kids about Turkey Calling, followed by Bob Erikson’s Wild Turkey 101. Newcomer seminar speaker Scott Letterman will be speaking on Friday, Saturday and Sunday about Firearm Family Safety and Protection. Also speaking on Friday Saturday and Sunday is Jason Michael, who will share secrets in Hunting and Decoying Spring Gobblers. Returning speaker is Freddie McKnight who will be speaking on Trail Cameras. Lance Dunham will be dishing on how he catches 10,000 fish in a season! And John Punako will feature his alternative Bio-mass products and how they work.
Again this year, there will be a total of $2,500.00 in cash prize drawings with five (5) chances to win. Top prize is $1,000.00, 2nd prize is $700.00, 3rd prize is $500.00, 4th prize is $200.00 and 5th prize is $100.00.
We have 115 exhibitors; great food, free parking and a variety of things see and do. Children can participate in the Berwick Bass Masters’ Kids Casting Contest; a live fish fishing derby; BB gun shoot and more! Children at heart can participate in many things as well.
